Известные американские музыканты записали песню для рекламы компании Coca-Cola. Как сообщает Rolling Stone, в записи композиции "Open Happiness" приняли участие Си-Ло Грин из дуэта Gnarls Barkley, Патрик Стамп из группы Fall Out Boy, вокалист Panic at the Disco Брэндон Ури, Трэвис Маккой из коллектива Gym Class Heroes и молодая исполнительница Джанелль Монэ. Песню, написанную Бачем Уолкером и Си-Ло Грином, можно послушать на сервисе MySpace, а также приобрести вместе с ремиксом в исполнении Polow Da Don в онлайн-магазине iTunes. В мае будет презентован видеоклип на композицию. Часть доходов с продаж трека пойдет на благотворительность. Композиция "Open Happiness" станет частью одноименной масштабной рекламной кампании Coca-Cola, заявленной как ребрендинг. Компания рассчитывает, что слоган и песня "Open Happiness" станет для Coca-Cola тем же, чем стала "I'm Loving It" для McDonald's.

Tonight is the last date of Panic At The Disco’s brief, low-key UK tour, and all the things people hate about them are plain to see: there’s the fact they’re young, pretty and perhaps a little over-groomed (like The Beatles); the way they at times veer close to boyband territory (like The Beatles); the fact that their every utterance makes girls scream (like The Beatles); and the songs they play from an album they’ve just made that sounds like… well, The Beatles, circa-‘Magical Mystery Tour’, and ‘…Village Green…’-era Kinks, and The Small Faces’ ‘Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake’. That last point being perhaps the biggest bugbear with their detractors, who scoff at the mere thought of a band like Panic dipping into this sacred pool of ’60s influences.

Panic At The Disco have returned to London's legendary Abbey Road Studios to record a live performance set to air in the US tomorrow night (July 3).
The Las Vegas band used the studio made famous by The Beatles to lay down their most recent album 'Pretty, Odd' and went back to record a live performance and interview, which will air tomorrow on the Sundance Channel's 'Live From Abbey Road'.
"When we were there mixing our record in January, the producer of the show said he was a fan of our band and he'd love to have us on the show," explained drummer and founding member Spencer Smith.
"We were impressed with the production and how intimate it is and how it's about the songs and nothing else. We thought it was a great opportunity to go back into Abbey Road and do something different."
Smith said that when producer Rob Mathis originally suggested the band record their album there, they were incredibly excited by the idea.
"There's not a more famous studio in the world than Abbey Road," said Smith. "It's amazing. We've listened to so many things recorded in that studio, from The Beatles to Radiohead. We even got to use some of the original equipment."
'Live From Abbey Road' airs weekly each Thursday at 10:00pm EST/PST. Artists slated to perform on future shows include MGMT, Elbow, Alanis Morissette and The Black Keys.
Panic At The Disco are currently touring throughout the UK and Europe, playing several festival and headlining dates.
